Why cant you insert thrush cream with applicator during pregnancy? What can happen?

i have heard alot that if you have thrush during pregnancy, not to insert the cream with the applicator, does anybody know why, or what can happen if inserted with the applicator? Why cant you insert thrush cream with applicator during pregnancy? What can happen?
you are allowed to use it i used it a couple of weeks ago... i got the doctor to double check i do with everything he just laughs he used of it and it was fine then at the chemist i asked again and she said was fine just to be extra careful.. xxWhy cant you insert thrush cream with applicator during pregnancy? they are just being ultra cautious in case the applicator or inserting the cream so high up causes premature labour. u can insert the pessary without an applicator during pregnancy, cream is a little more difficult to insert without the applicator.
I had thrush at 38 weeks when my eldest was born and was given a pessary by the midwife in the hospital ( I had been admitted for high BP) I took it and all was fine, maybe things have changed since then though - it was nearly 11 years ago!
the 2 times i used it i got tiny spots of blood the next day although i did it Very gently! i was scared and then found out i should only use a pessary havnt had any probs since. im now 25 weeks along
