Do they make any special creams to help you not get stretch marks during pregnancy?

i know alot of people use cocoa butter, but i was wondering if there are any othre kinds?, my mom didnt get stretch marks when she was pregnant, but i have some on my hips from growing. can you help me out?Do they make any special creams to help you not get stretch marks during pregnancy?
Oh they make LOADS of special creams to help prevent stretch marks. The kicker is that not a single one of them actually works. If you're going to get stretch marks then you're going to get them and nothing you do is going to prevent that. Vitamin E can help reduce the appearances of stretch marks, but it will not stop them from forming or make them go away any faster. The good news is that if your mom didn't get them when she was pregnant there is a pretty good chance that you probably won't either.

The actual efficacy of stretch mark prevention creams aside, I do use Palmer's cocoa butter with vitamin E every night. It helps to moisturize my skin and makes my belly less itchy as the skin stretches to accommodate my growing baby. And I have my husband rub it in so it's a nice bonding time for both him and me and for him and the baby. It won't prevent stretch marks, but it's still a lovely little routine and it does have other proven benefits (reducing the itching for example).Do they make any special creams to help you not get stretch marks during pregnancy?
Nothing, and I mean nothing, prevents stretch marks. You will get them regardless of what you use if you are inclined to get them, especially if you've had them before. No dermatologist will tell you differently and they went to med school. They know what they are talking about. I've never had a doctor tell me any differently either. The use of lotions contained vitamin E can decrease their appearance if you are using it before you get them. Nothing makes them go away or fade quicker though so it's best to not waste you money on expensive products because they just don't work. Rip offs.
A large percentage of pregnant women get stretch marks on their stomach, and more than 75% of women develop stretch marks around the waist, stomach, upper legs, butt and breast during pregnancy. However, even though there are creams to help these stretch marks, pregnant women are advised against using them. These creams have a high vitamin A content, which can really affect a developing fetus.

There are many ways you can help yourself avoid pregnancy stretch marks. Wear a good support bra to avoid stretch marks on your breasts. Use a body brush to massage the areas where you want to avoid getting stretch marks. The reason stretch marks appear during pregnancy is because of the rapid weight gain some women go through, therefore if you try to avoid gaining too much weight you may be able to avoid stretch marks altogether.

My sister used cocoa butter, and her stretch marks are worse then mine.

Stretch marks are a chance game. I didn't get one until my last 3 weeks of pregnancy. But, my sister got hers after only a few months.

If you want to try cocoa go for it, but I've never believed in any of it. Your body will do what it wants no matter what!

Don't worry about your stretch marks. Men really don't care. I'm sure you are a beautiful girl, with or without them.

Good luck.

They do have a medicated stretch Mark cream called Cosmetyn. But while you might not be able to use this. You still need to watch what you put on the outside as well as inside.
coacoa butter, definitely.

and when you look at ingredients for lotion, if ';urea'; is one of the main ingredients then that also helps too.
There's this oil called Bio Oil that can help with stretch marks most grocery stores sell it in the first aid section.
They do have different creams and oils that claim to help with them, but none actually prevent them. It's just nature.
Nope. They are sadly hereditary. So,since your mom didn't get them,it's 'possible' yours won't be so bad.
Carrot lotion, and skin softeners.
