What's the best lotion/cream/oil for preventing stretch marks during pregnancy?

Been using Burts Bee-Mama Bee. Don't really like b/c its very thick and doesn't go on very well. What's the best lotion/cream/oil for preventing stretch marks during pregnancy?
There really is no way to prevent stretch marks. The best thing you can do to minimize them is stay hydrated from the inside out -- which means drinking at least 8 LARGE glasses of water (not juice, not soda -- WATER) every day. Applying lotions to the surface of your skin will not help the inner layers become more elastic -- only staying hydrated will make a difference. Good luck! What's the best lotion/cream/oil for preventing stretch marks during pregnancy?
Well nothing can prevent stretch marks, as your genes are mostly repsonsible for them. But having good skin elasticity helps, and you can improve this and the overall health of your skin by moisturizing regularly. I don't really think it matters what kind of lotion you use, but I have been using Vaseline brand with cocoa butter and I don't have any yet.
if you look on the clairns website they have a whole booklet on how to look after your skin through pregnancy.

they say to exfoliate regulary - to keep skin cells healthy and then to apply your moisturiser- to keep skin moisturised and supple but applying after exfoliating means the cream will also be absorbed better.

i used bio oil and palmers cocoa butter - didnt get real stretch marks just a few white ones on the top of my hips.

if you want the link let me know.

congrats x
There isn't one. Nothing you put ON the skin will affect any tissue UNDER the skin. All are soothing, all smell good, and none will make stretch marks bigger or smaller. NONE, sorry.

And lots of outfits get rich selling you this stuff. Buy the cheapest skin cream you can to relieve itch and flakiness. But only time and your heredity will determine if you get stretch marks, and as well how fast, if ever they will completely go away.
stretch marks are genetic. If your mother got them, you will get them. There is not really anything you can do to prevent them. the Lotion does help w/ the itching but not necessarily stretch marks.
Okay .. Victoria secret lotion is not going to help..

LOL

Coco Butter is the best and they even have one for pregnant women ck target or Walmart :)

Congrats!

I'm Due Janurary 2nd!
There is no proven lotion/cream/oil that will prevent them. They say they do but they don't work on everyone.
I use Victoria's Secret lotion! Smells good! :):)
