What cream to apply on stomach during pregnancy?

To reduce stretch marks later post pregnancy? What cream to apply on stomach during pregnancy?
I used Palmer's Cocoa Butter Concentrated Cream, for my first pregnancy and didn't get any stretch marks, and the same with this pregnancy so far. But my mother and my aunts never got them when they were pregnant either so i dunno if its a hereditary thing or just good luck ha ha. But after the baby make sure u still use the lotion for a little while. What cream to apply on stomach during pregnancy?
Truthfully, cream will only moisturerize your skin and do nothing else. It will not prevent you from getting stretch marks. Your skin has a layer under it that keeps liquids from entering your body and that is where the stretching is occuring. I wish I could explain this better. Ask your doctor to explain it, becaus some people get stretch marks and some people don't. Lotions don't make a difference.
Stretch marks are hereditary. It's similar to asking ';both my parents are 6';2, what can I do to be 5'3?';. Ask your doctor, he'll tell you the same. You can't reduce getting them, but it may be possible to reduce the appearance.... by drinking lots of water. Water helps the elasticity of your skin, making it stretch much easier. Exercise and a healthy diet will also help. If your mother or grandmother (or even aunt!) has stretch marks, it's likely you'll get them as well. I wouldn't even waste your money on the creams. I bought palmers belly butter, used it ALL over my body.. and at 21 weeks i've got stretch marks on my bottom and my breast. Nothing we can do! Best of luck and congrats! :)
Palmers Massage lotion or Massage Cream and Palmers tummy butter for stretch marks. They're wonderful. My bestfriend gave birth last year. She was huge but she used this stuff and she doesn't have one stretch mark. My cousin is on baby number three and she doesn't have any either. I swear by this stuff. I'm only 12 weeks but i use it daily. Make sure whatever you use you start using it now. Don't wait until you start getting bigger. Good Luck.
It's a scientific fact that stretch marks cannot be prevent by creams as the area in the dermis where the stretches occur aren't reached by the creams.

However, saying that I still used a body cream throughout my pregnancy (by Simple as I became hypersensitive to everything when I was pregnant!).

The Simple one I used left my skin feeling lovely and soft and I don't have any stretch marks! :-)
I used Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter and I have no stretch marks. Would I have not gotten them without using anything? Who knows, but it smelled nice and kept my skin soft and less itchy. Good luck!!
I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter for stretch marks twice a day. I also use Avon Skin So Soft Bath Oil in my bath water 1-2 times per week. This is my fourth pregnancy and I still have no stretch marks. It may not be because of the oil and lotion but I sure am not going to stop using it just in case..lol. I think some people are just going to get them no matter what they do. My sister used that stuff too and got them pretty bad on her stomach, so I don't know. Good Luck!!
I've heard that cocoa butter is the best for reduce stretch marks later post pregnancy, but really any lotion will aid the skin in staying mositurized and aid in the protection against the trauma of stretching
Honestly I don't think it matters. If you are going to get them you will, if not then you won't. I use nothing at all (this is my 3rd) and I don't have one stretch mark, so really I think it all just depends on your skin.
Bio-oil..proven to reduce marks and scars. Im in australia.

Or Palmers cocoa oil..i get a mini bottle here for $2.
im using bio oil and palmers cocoa butter i havent got any yet though so dont know if its working lol im only 15 weeks but have quite a wee cute bump! =)

In fact cream doesn't do any thing because your stomach stretches from inside not outside.
