I am only 6 weeks along, but I have heard about that stretch mark cream. I know it doesn't PREVENT them, but I hear it can help. Only thing is, when should I start using it? When I start showing? How far in a pregnancy should you start using ';strecth mark cream';?
I started using cocoa butter the first month of pregnancy. It did help keep skin hydrated, and boy does it smell good! How far in a pregnancy should you start using ';strecth mark cream';?
I started using it about my 3rd month...and they say to put it on everyday...
It doesnt hurt to go ahead and start using it now... its not that expensive and if you are worried about stretch marks... then I strongly suggest it.... be sure to cover from you bust to your knees... anywhere in between is stretch mark zone....
I used cocoa butter during my first pregnancy because my belly itched so badly and it helped with that. I didn't get any stretch marks on my belly but no amount of cream was going to prevent the stretch marks I got on my breasts after my milk came in.
I'm pregnant with my second now and I started using it this time around 16 weeks.
It's good to start as soon as you find out. You'd be good to start now. Like you said, it doesn't prevent them, but with me, it really helps keep the itching to a minimum.
Right away..its never too soon
i started at 4 wks when i found out i was pregnant %26amp; now i'm 18 wks, have gained 6lbs (all belly) %26amp; none so far. i never knew 6 lbs looked soooo big!
It can help out especially with the itching from your skin stretching. Start it now if you would like never to early to get your skin healthy.
the sooner is going to be more effective. your right, it won't prevent them, but in the long run it will help them fade after the baby is born if you do get them. I started using it right away, and I still got stretch marks, but they faded so fast that, you can hardly see them. good luck. everyone is different.
As soon as you start showing. And use it consistently, not ';when you think about it';. It won't stop stretch marks but it will keep your skin more pliable. As you grow outward, if your skin is tight there will be a stretch effect because your skin has no ';give';-that's why you want to use the cream.
If you wait til they pop up that's too late I would start using it now, it will keep the skin moisturized and ply-able throughout and diminish them. I hope this helps
i started applying it this time around (my second)... as soon as i got the positive test LOL... crazy i know but with my first i didnt start until i noticed i got one and i think that was a bad choice on my half... another tip would be.. dont just apply it... take your time and massage it in i heard that massaging your legs.. belly ... butt... with the cream while pregnant helps to reduce it ....
also appy it everywhere!!!...
I got them on..
my boobs...
my butt..
my hips..
my thighs..
on the back of my legs...
so i would recommend doing it now and everywhere!!..
good luck
