Good LUck and congrats on your baby.Is there any way to get rid of or atleast control the strech marks during pregnancy. Suggest best cream.?
I found that cocoa butter only made them worse......and bio oil didnt work for me either just wasted alot of money. Actually nothing really worked for me lol A friend use baby oil and good old canola cooking oil and she got no stretch marks what so everIs there any way to get rid of or atleast control the strech marks during pregnancy. Suggest best cream.?
You are already genetically determined to either get them or not. If you are gonna get them, you cant stop them, only lessen the impact.
I have a high tendancy for getting stretchmarks and during my first preg I used no creams or anything and got heaps but with my second preg I used a a mixture of oils such as almond oil with grape seed, vitamin E and lavender in it. It really worked a treat and I got no more stretchmarks (despite being much larger) and the old ones faded very nicely. My belly and thighs looked alot nicer immediatly after my second baby then when I first got pregnant to him and I believe it was thanks to the oils I used. You can buy any of these oils from health food stores, supermarkets or even ebay and a reasonable price and can mix them yourself, perhaps just look up a good recipe via a search engine (google). some oils can be dangerous while pregnant so just check with a naturo path before using anything you are unsure of.
Also when using oils or creams, steer clear of ones containing mineral oil, this is petroleum based and does not absorb through the skin therefore it does not work.
Good luck :)
Vitamin D is very good for your skin. Get some get pills break them open and put on your skin.
I have also heard of people useing avocado butter lotion.
my wife used st. palmers cocoa butter. anyone that i've heard talking about this always says cocoa butter.
everyone says cocoa butter but the fact is that stretch marks can not be prevented and more likly if your mother had them also , you can use creams to prevent the itchy of the stretch marks. not all women get them but alot do . For me its a trophy a reminder of the beutifull thing that happend and gave them to me . they very often change color and kind of dissapear after a while. try cocoa
sorry to say but,no...I got pregnant with my first child and didnt have 1 stretch mark before...Once the bump really started showing the stretch marks just went crazy all over my lower tummy. I used cocoa butter, all kinds of stretch mark creams and lotions and nothing helped. When u get stretch marks it is because of your genes...if your mother or grandmother had stretch marks during pregnancy then u will prob get them as well. *my mom sure did*..There may be women who say they used this and that and didnt get any but it is not because of creams,it is the genes.
With my second and 3rd babies i went bazurk with the creams but nope still didnt help. i got a few more with each pregnancy...They will fade after the baby is born and wont look as bad,but even if they dont just consider them as your babys marks *will be a rememberance to come although they are stuborn marks*...my husband doesnt mind mine at all,nor does any other man who has seen them..some actually get turned on and find women with them attractive due to the fact that they were from making a miracle...anyways just live with them, there not that bad =)..good luck and congrats!!!!
Bio-oil is really good! I was using that palmers cocoa butter through out pregnancy but I still ended up with some. Bio-oil got rid of the ones that were still there.
i wish there was. i was really good about putting streatch mark cream on my body right away when i found out i was pregnant....i heard it helps reduce them if you do get them...here i am expecting my baby any day and i have streatch marks EVERYWHERE!! it sucks... i got them bad!!! im going to try and use a different type of cream after the baby is born and maybe even buy one of those kits that are supposed to help get ride of them, but they generally cost about 100.00 at walmart...hopefully it works!
Goodluck
I've been using Palmer's cocoa butter. i started early and now I am 19 weeks and showing but I haven't seen one yet. I make sure I apply it everyday and twice a day. hopefully they stay away... they are so not pretty!
Wish there were- but no.... the skin you are born with determines the elasticity. I had pregancy ones and my brother had muscle ones. It's all about the genes. BUT keeping them moist and lubricated will stop them from itching as much.
mothers friendley you can find it at a drug store..and it helped me i didn't get one at all no where
everyone i know suggests palmer's cocoa butter. and it wil say stretch mark creme on the bottle. i also heard that if you apply the lotion daily thru out your pregnancy then you have a good chance of less stretch marks or not as dark. also making sure you drink a lot of water
